Scriptures
We believe in the absolute authority of the holy scriptures. We believe the Scriptures of both the Old and New Testaments were verbally given by inspiration of God and are without error. We believe the God who gave His word to man has taken upon Himself the responsibility for its preservation. We believe the incorruptible word of God which cannot pass away has been preserved in the Authorized (King James) Version. This Bible is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice. (Proverbs 30:5; Psalm 12:6,7; Matthew 24:35; 2 Timothy 3:16)
God
We believe there is one God and that He exists in three persons: God the Father, of whom are all things; God the Son, by whom are all things; and God the Holy Ghost. (1 John 5:7; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
Creation
We believe that God created all things by His word in six literal days, consisting of twenty-four-hour periods. We believe God to be the creator and sustainer of all things, visible and invisible. We believe the universe and all that is therein to be held together by the word of His power. (Genesis 1:1-31; Exodus 20:11; Colossians 1:16,17)
Jesus
We believe that God the Son, the LORD Jesus Christ, left the glory of heaven to be born of a virgin through the power of the Holy Ghost. He walked among men and was in all points tempted, as we are…yet He never sinned. He was crucified and was buried, and rose again from the dead the third day in order to redeem sinful man by taking his place. (Philippians 2:5-11; Luke 1:31; Hebrews 4:15; 1 Corinthians 15:3,4)
Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit, as the third member of the Godhead, is one with the Father and Jesus Christ. He reproves the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment by means of personal conviction within the hearts of those that would be faced with the Scriptures. The Holy Spirit also indwells all believers in order to guide him into all truth, and to seal each believer until the day of redemption of the physical body in which we currently are living. The Holy Spirit is also the member of the Godhead that provided the literal inspiration of the Scriptures as it was being written. (John 14:16-18; John 16:7-14; Ephesians 1:13,14; 2 Peter 1:21)
Life after Death
We believe all men rejecting the Lord Jesus Christ will spend eternity in the conscious torment of a literal lake of fire, while those receiving the Lord Jesus Christ will spend eternity in the glorious presence of God. (Revelation 20:14,15; John 14:1-3; 2 Corinthians 5:8)
Man
We believe that man was originally made in the likeness and image of God in a state of sinlessness, but by choice willingly transgressed the commandment of God and therefore became dead in his trespasses in sins and thus, separated from God. All those that have been born since then are sinners both by nature and choice, and are therefore also separated from God as well. (Genesis 1:26; Romans 5:12-14)
Salvation
We believe salvation is available to all men by grace through faith in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ, apart from human works or merit of any kind. We believe that salvation is dependent upon man’s repentance toward God and his belief on the LORD Jesus Christ alone, absent of works, baptism, or any other of man’s traditions. (Ephesians 2:8,9; John 3:16-18; Romans 10:9-13; Acts 16:31; Acts 20:21)
Eternal Security
We believe the saved child of God is eternally secure in the Lord Jesus Christ, and is sealed, taught and comforted by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption. (John 10:27-30; 1Peter 1:3-5; Ephesians 4:30)
The Church
We believe that the local church is the medium through which the LORD works in this present world and that the local church consists of a local assembly of born-again, baptized believers in the LORD Jesus Christ who are sound in doctrine. The local church has Jesus Christ as its head and its pastor as overseer. (Acts 2: 47; Acts 20:28; Colossians 1:18; 1 Peter 5:1-4)
Hell
We believe in a literal, everlasting, burning hell, which, although it was only originally made to be the final destination Satan and his angels, is also the end of all who reject the free gift of salvation in the LORD Jesus Christ. (Luke 16:22-31; Matthew 25:41)
Satan
We believe in the literal existence of Satan, who is the adversary of all those who have been born again, is the father of all those who are unsaved, and is the god of this current world. (John 8:44; 1 Peter 5:8; 2 Corinthians 4:4)
Baptism
We believe that water baptism is a public testimony made by the saved Christian and plays no part in salvation or making one a member of the church, but is simply the first act of obedience on the part of the believer to show that he has been spiritually baptized into the body of Christ by the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16; Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:12; 1 Peter 3:21)
Ordinances
We believe that there are 2 ordinances of the New Testament church, and these do not in any way provide salvation of any sort, but only show a type of the spiritual and eternal blessings that we have received upon our new birth. The two ordinances are 1. The Lords Supper/Communion and 2. Water Baptism. By the Lord’ supper we show the Lord’s death on the cross until he returns again. Water baptism is to show that the believer has been spiritually baptized into the body of Christ by the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 26:26-30; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29)
Missions
We believe it is the responsibility of every believer to proclaim the saving gospel to all men by personal testimony and by giving of their means to finance the missionary efforts in foreign countries. It is the duty of every believer to ensure that the gospel is spread in their own town, state, country, as well as financially and prayerfully supporting the efforts of the gospel overseas. (Matthew 28:19,20; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:14-16; 1 Corinthians 15:34)
Separation
We believe all saved men should be separate from the outward and inner ways of this world, being holy in mind and in body. However, righteousness does not come by keeping of laws and commandments but by an inner change of heart, so therefore we place emphasis on the inner condition, trusting the outward appearance to follow accordingly. (2 Corinthians 6:14-17; Titus 2:14; Ephesians 5:8,11; 1 Peter 3:4)
Rapture of the Church
We believe that the blessed hope of all true believers is that before the seven year tribulation and the literal thousand year reign of Jesus Christ, spoken of by the LORD Jesus Christ and the holy prophets in the Old Testament, that the LORD himself will come in the clouds to catch up all true believers to be with Him in heaven.(1 Corinthians 15:51-57, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17; Titus 2:13)
