Brethren,
Greetings in the lovely name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. To say that things have been busy the last few months would an incredible understatement, but we are so excited to see all the things the Lord has been and is doing here in Papua New Guinea.
This week will conclude our first semester of 2024 at Highlands Baptist Bible Institute. Please pray for the students as they will taking their exams on July 15th and 16th. It is encouraging to see the many students stay faithful to their studies despite the many trials and oppositions facing them.
Also, please continue to pray for our efforts in Kelua. Every Sunday we hold a service at 4pm in one of the rooms at the local school where I have been preaching through the book of John. Sheila also has been holding a class for the children during this time where they enjoy songs, games, and Bible stories. We have seen quite a few folks, both from the school and the community, continue to come to these meetings every week.
A few weeks ago, at the close of our service, three men and four ladies raised their hands with a desire to be born again. After a time of counseling, all of them prayed, and asked the Lord to save them!! We are so excited to see fruit from this ministry and are praying that the Lord will continue to move on hearts in the days to come.
Peter and his family continue to faithfully come as well. Please continue to pray for Peter’s wife, Sarah, as it is very evident that the Lord is dealing with her to be saved. She has recognized and admitted that her previous membership to the Catholic church offered her no hope and she has decided to leave, but she has yet to call on the Lord to saved.
Please be praying for our upcoming tent meeting in Kelua as well. Pastor Camillus Kumbi, Pastor Leslee Daniels, and I will be preaching the gospel for six nights from July 23rd to July 28th. Many of our Bible School students will be coming to help with song leading, giving of testimonies, and counseling those who may have questions regarding salvation.
We are also very thankful and excited that the Lord has opened doors for us to be a blessing to national brethren in other areas in Papua New Guinea.
In May, I was blessed to go to Morebe province to preach a meeting for over 4o pastors and preachers with their wives. It was a blessing to meet these brethren and try to encourage them towards unity and to remain faithful in the various places where God has called each one of them.
Also, the Lord has allowed me to be able to connect with a group of pastors/preachers in Chimbu province about an hour away. Many of these men are laboring in remote places, and we are excited that the Lord has allowed us an opportunity to be an encouragement to these brethren. Once a month, we have scheduled a time to have a combined outreach in some of the large towns in Chimbu and are praying to see fruit in the days to come.
“Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;” ~~Romans 15:30~~
To God Be the Glory,
Kenneth Seremak and Family
